A Full-day Water Fluoridation Training for Water Treatment Facility Operators is aimed at providing the public health background on community water fluoridation, the effective ways of providing fluoridation treatment; dosage, residual testing, etc., laboratory techniques and common laboratory interferences.

Water Plant Operators
Supervisors
Water superintendents
Regulatory personnel
Anyone interested in proper, safe, water supply treatment

At the conclusion of this course, participants will be able to:
1. administer and recognize effective water supply fluoridation
2. test for and accurately report fluoride residuals
3. troubleshoot and respond to problems

This course has been designed by the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and is presented in cooperation with the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services Department, the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality, and the Michigan Section – AWWA.

This course has been approved for 0.5 CECs – Technical for Drinking Water.
