This 12-week course covers atoms and the elements, chemical bonds, compounds, solutions, acids and bases, and then moves into chlorination, alkalinity, and more. The instructor has extensive experience in both drinking water and wastewater and can help operators get a solid foundation of chemistry as it relates to their job. The class will be mostly lecture with some in-class experiences and promises to be fun and informative.A basic chemistry book is included in the course fee.

Students must be prepared to attend all class sessions. Drinking water CECs are approved up to 3.0. Waste water CECs have been applied for.
